christmas gifts 2023

Our Christmas Gifts scheme began in 2020 during the global COVID-19 pandemic. It was created to help those living in the Bunyonyi Lake area in South West Uganda and was a popular way for people to give unusual gifts that make a difference.

The appeal invited donors to gift money to be used on specific gifts, ranging from simple and economical agricultural tools that help people with farming tasks to school books and even water tanks that provide enormous benefit several households.

Delivery of the gifts has had a huge impact on the lives of families around Lake Bunyonyi through Itambira Island Seeds of Hope.

We now have many people who give annually through this scheme.

For 2023, we have revised the catalogue. Prices have been revised where necessary and a range of items to suit a variety of budgets have been selected based on discussions with the local team to meet the needs in the community.
